If you are downloading Chrome on your PC, then you are the administrator. You can find the administrator name in Windows at C: Users. Yes, click on 'run' or 'save' to start the installer. If you are logged in to your Google account on an internet browser, you must log out temporarily to install Google on your desktop. Once you have logged out, go to drive.google.com and scroll.

How it Works
Google Messages for Desktop is an unofficial open-source project that was built as a wrapper around the official messages.google.com/ web client. It is built using the Nativefier command line tool. It works exactly like it does on Google Chrome, but as a standalone desktop application. This project is not affiliated with Google.

Download Chrome for Windows or Mac OS
Go to https://www.google.com/chrome/ and click Download Chrome. Google will identify your computer's operating system and offer you the correct version for Windows or Mac.
Read the terms and conditions and tick or untick whether you want to send automatic reports of any errors back to Google. Once you're happy with that, click Accept and install.
If prompted click Run or Save for the download, and then click through the welcome dialogue.
To use Chrome on Windows you will need Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 or later. To use Chrome on a Mac, you will need OS X Yosemite 10.10 or later.
